Macungie's Holiday Calendar Takes Turns Between Poplar Street and Brookside Road

From the first Saturday in November to the middle of December, Macungie's holiday calendar switches between two addresses. One is Macungie Memorial Park at 50 N. Poplar St., just off Main Street in the borough. The other is the Lower Macungie Township Community Center at 3450 Brookside Road. For six straight event dates, from a donation drive on Nov. 7 to the borough's holiday celebration on Dec. 12, the location alternates between them every time.

The alternation is useful because each building asks something different of you. On Brookside Road, the biggest event of the season has no ATM on site. On Poplar Street, the park lot can fill and send cars out to Main Street. Knowing which building you're headed to tells you most of what you need to prepare.

The Season at a Glance

Here is the full run in order. Every date below falls in 2026. Admission is listed as free for the Nov. 14 fair, the Nov. 21 show and the Dec. 4 tree lighting.

  1. Saturday, Nov. 7, Brookside Road. Stuff the Truck, 9 a.m. to noon.
  2. Saturday, Nov. 14, Poplar Street. Welcome Fall Vendor Craft Fair, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  3. Saturday, Nov. 21, Brookside Road. Lower Macungie Winter Craft Show, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  4. Sunday, Nov. 22, Poplar Street. Fall Into the Holidays Craft & Vendor Show, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  5. Friday, Dec. 4, Brookside Road. Lower Macungie Christmas Tree Lighting, 6 to 8 p.m.
  6. Saturday, Dec. 12, Poplar Street. Macungie Holiday, listed on the park's 2026 calendar.

The rest of this guide follows that order, because the earlier dates help you prepare for the later ones.

Nov. 7: The Season Opens With a Donation Drive

ReStore Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley is running a Stuff the Truck drop-off in the Community Center parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 7. It accepts new and gently used building supplies, furniture and appliances. Those items are resold to the public at steep discounts, and the money supports affordable housing programs in the Lehigh Valley.

The timing is convenient. A Saturday morning a week before the first craft fair is a good window to move out the extra dresser, the boxed light fixtures from a past project or the chairs that never found a place at the table. The three-hour window is short, so it helps to load the car the night before.

Nov. 14: Poplar Street Starts the Shopping

The following Saturday, the season moves to the borough. The Welcome Fall Vendor Craft Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Macungie Memorial Park, and admission is free. According to Discover Lehigh Valley, proceeds from the basket raffle will again benefit Wreaths Across America.

The organizer is Events by Sherry, a division of Fit With Sherry LLC. On its Eventeny listing, the organizer notes that the park has a parking lot, but visitors may need to park on Main Street once it fills. This is the first of several Poplar Street dates where that applies. If you live within walking distance of the park, walking over may be easier than waiting for a spot to open.

Vendor lists hadn't been posted yet. The Discover Lehigh Valley listing says the organizers will share participating vendors and crafters closer to the date.

Nov. 21 and 22: Both Halls in One Weekend

The week before Thanksgiving is the busiest stretch of the season. Both buildings host a show, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, and the two days run very differently.

Saturday, Nov. 21 Sunday, Nov. 22
Show Lower Macungie Winter Craft Show Fall Into the Holidays Craft & Vendor Show
Location Community Center, 3450 Brookside Road Macungie Memorial Park Hall, 50 N. Poplar St.
Hours 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Vendors More than 120 craft vendors More than 50 craft and holiday vendors on both floors
Raffle None listed Downstairs raffle benefiting the park
Payment note No ATM on site, many vendors cash only None listed

Saturday on Brookside Road: Bring Cash

The township's Winter Craft Show is the largest event of the season, with more than 120 craft vendors listed. The township's event page states plainly that there is no ATM on site and that many vendors accept cash only.

With that many tables, the cash notice is the detail most likely to matter. A shopper who finds a handmade gift at the far end of the room and has only a card may have to leave the building, find an ATM and come back. Stopping at the bank on Friday avoids that. Questions go to Lower Macungie's recreation office at 610-966-6924 or [email protected].

The 9 a.m. start is the earliest of any show this season, an hour ahead of the Nov. 14 fair and two hours ahead of Sunday's show.

Sunday on Poplar Street: A Smaller Show on Two Floors

Sunday's show is the second Poplar Street event of the month. Fall Into the Holidays, run by Events by Jennifer Lynn & Company LLC, fills both floors of Macungie Memorial Park Hall with more than 50 craft and holiday vendors. A raffle on the lower floor benefits the park.

The listing counts more than 50 vendors against Saturday's more than 120, and the doors open later, at 11 a.m., so the two days complement each other. Saturday covers the most ground. Sunday is a shorter visit, and it's worth going downstairs for the raffle. Both shows end at 3 p.m., and the Nov. 14 parking note applies again, since it's the same park and the same lot.

Between the two raffles, the money from Poplar Street's November shows goes to two places: Wreaths Across America on Nov. 14 and the park itself on Nov. 22.

Dec. 4: Back to Brookside for the Tree Lighting

After Thanksgiving, the switching continues with an evening event. Lower Macungie's Christmas Tree Lighting runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, at the Community Center, and the tree is lit at 7:45 p.m.

The township lists live music, crafts, food trucks, live ice carving and a snow zone. Admission is free, and food truck purchases are separate.

The lighting happens 15 minutes before the event ends, so arriving at 6 means nearly two hours of music, carving and food trucks before the main moment. Families with young children can plan around 7:45 and come later. Those who want the ice carving and the snow zone can come early. Since the food trucks charge separately, the cash you brought to the Nov. 21 craft show may come in handy again.

Dec. 12: The Return to Poplar Street

The last date on the list is Macungie Holiday, which appears under Dec. 12 on Macungie Memorial Park's official 2026 calendar. Times and the full program hadn't been posted for 2026 yet. The event's own website still describes last year's celebration. It's worth checking the borough's event calendar closer to the date.

Before November Starts

One more evening comes before all of this. Trick-or-treat night is Saturday, Oct. 31. Lower Macungie Township lists it from 6 to 9 p.m. Macungie Borough's calendar lists a 6 p.m. start and doesn't give an end time.

Starting Nov. 7, the two buildings trade dates. For Brookside Road, bring cash and know the start times. For Poplar Street, plan on the lot filling and have Main Street in mind for parking.
